NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.

Scripture at Moss Vale Public School
Special religious education is offered in the middle session on Mondays. Scripture is offered for
- Catholic
- Combined Churches
- Non scripture
Change of scripture
To change scripture at any time, please submit your request in writing, or alternatively complete a special religious form from the office. Changes take effect at the beginning of each new school term.
Ethics
There is currently one Stage 3 ethics class offered at Moss Vale Public School. If you are interested in volunteering as an ethics teacher, please contact the school office for more information.
